Streets Reimagined is a community engagement, placemaking and mobility consultancy.

We work with organisations that want to nurture happier and healthier places where everyone is included and able to connect with nature, history and culture.

We do this through collaborative design processes with local communities that lead to responsive and resilient proposals that celebrate local character and create joy.

Main purpose of role

Our current projects include engaging communities as part of a historic high street renewal project, a master plan for a London park, designing mobility hubs in local centres (e.g. for e-scooters and pool e-bikes), developing a green spaces strategy across a whole city and developing proposals for an area under a motorway flyover.

The successful applicant would be involved in community engagement on one of our upcoming projects based in the West of England or beyond and will be tailored to the interests and abilities of the applicant in line with the objectives of the project. 

 

Where is the opportunity based? 

To be discussed, but will be a mix of in-person and remote working, candidate must have their own laptop and internet access. The Streets Reimagined office is located at Streamline, 436-441 Paintworks Arnos Vale Bristol BS4 3AS.  

What are the working hours? 

Flexible, to be discussed, can be full time or part time - must be completed by 31st August 2022.

 

Intern description

  • An interest in the work of creating sustainable and liveable neighbourhoods

  • Able to work independently - whilst receiving regular direction and clear objectives to follow

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people from a range of backgrounds 

  • Handling data and information

  • Experience of working in a team

  • Able to organise work effectively
