Research Internship
THIS INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO GREEN SKILLS FOR JOBS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP PARTICIPANTS
Estates and Facilities' Sustainability Team is looking to tackle the problem of the amount of plastic waste being generated from University events, through the publication of a comprehensive Sustainable Events guide. This will recommend alternatives to the most popular plastic and non-recyclable products that are used.
UWE has signed up to the UK Plastic Pact and our Strategy 2030 commits us to eliminate non-essential single use plastic from each campus by 2025. This role will have an immediate impact on the waste that is generated on campus and will help UWE staff to achieve those ambitious goals.

-
Working with staff and students across UWE to determine what is being purchased for events and the quantities
