About the Research Internship

 

Bristol Business School is looking for two Sustainability and Impact Research Assistants to work on a project concerned with the impacts of tourism, festivals and events on the city of Bristol and the wider West of England region. Focusing on encouraging active, healthy recreation and the mental health benefits of participation in public events.

 

The project will examine the prospects for growth and for sustainable management of industry impacts.

The roles will involve:

  • Survey / interview Design

  • Data gathering and interviewing

  • Meeting stakeholders in tourism/events industries

  • Data analysis and synthesis

Qualifications/Skills/Experience required

Essential

  • Completion of Green Skills for Jobs and Entrepreneurship

  • ICT skills; Secondary (desk-based) research

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Excel or SPSS

  • Data analysis and report writing; Interviewing

Where is the opportunity based? 

The Business School, X Block, Frenchay Campus

There will also be some remote working and some attendance at external meetings and events.

What are the working hours? 

To be discussed - could be part-time or full time but would need to be completed by 31st October 2022
